Ohhh, The Guilt!
Maybe I’m the only one but do others feel the same immense guilt when they leave their dog at the kennel? When we were in Florida over New Year’s, we had to leave our dog Chance at the kennel for one week. All I could think of was him being in a tiny cage, running out of water, no human interaction, mean dogs taunting him and not being allowed to go outside enough. I believe he gets to go in the yard 3 times a day. At home he's outside at least 15 times a day. (Eric would probably tell you it’s much more.) I cannot help it. I need to spoil my dog! And I have spent the last few days, since picking him up, begging for forgiveness, giving him lots of belly rubs, long massages and extra treats. But he's still plopping himself in front of me with this sad look, so my guilt still lingers...
(Note: Eric gave him a few pats on the head
and said “All is back to normal.” He is
apparently immune to this dreaded guilt.)

Bumble had bladder surgery yesterday. He is home now hiding under a blanket on the couch. He would tell Chance to stop whining. Will post a pic on fb for Chance to view. karen
ReplyDeletePoor Bumble. I saw the pic. So did Chance. He did not care and went back to sulking.
ReplyDeleteI can sympathize with you Lynne because my little malti-poo Maggie is a total "Diva"! She is spoiled beyond belief! :) Mary
ReplyDeleteThanks Mary! How can you not spoil a malti-poo?? She must be so cute!
ReplyDeleteLook, Chance is one of the most spoiled dogs on the planet. If the phone rings, Chance comes over and Lynne pets him until she hangs up. This dog has Lynne trained very well.
ReplyDeleteSounds like someone is jealous.
ReplyDeleteTell me about it!
